The Community Land Trust model of ownership guarantees permanently affordabie housing by removing all or part of the cost of land from homeownership, Through purchasing the land and keeping it in the Land Trust, the homebuyer can purchase only the building, thus housing becomes more affordable for both the first homeowner and the home's future owners who might face an even more difficult housing market. The ever appreciating land value is taken out of the equation and therefore the housing is kept within the means of present buyers, as well as for future generations.

Currently ACLT owns ten affordable rental units. ACLT has worked with ACCESS Inc. to both develope and manage these units throughout the city. ACCESS Inc. continues to provide property management services.
Currently all of ACLT's properties are owned and occupied by qualified families. As new properties are developed or purchased by the Land Trust, the purchasing households are selected from the qualified members of ACLT.
ACLT currently has ___ active members. Members represent households living in ACLT homes as well as supportive community members.
